Bo is a generalist with a strong knowledge base in many technical & business areas & a global network of trusted contacts. His recent & current projects include advanced & smart materials & manufacturing processes; batteries & fuel cells; bio-agriculture; cloud-enabled wearables; desalination – brines & seawater; sensors/IoT; smart grids; nano fibers (polymer/ceramic/metallic); energy storage; semiconductors; smart cities; solar thermal; power electronics; and waste water recycling. He has worked in Silicon Valley since 1978 with high technology start up / emerging companies in consulting, executive management, marketing to investors & large corporations, & sales.

Bo has worked with  advanced materials/nanotechnology companies since 2000 including biotechnology, clean technology, energy storage, renewable energy, sensors, and water purification. He consulted for the National Institute of Nanotechnology, Alberta, Canada; Edmonton Economic Development; and Alberta government agencies on the establishment of the Alberta Center for Advanced Micro & Nano Prototyping & other projects.

In 2001 Bo co-founded the nanoSIG, a business networking group that staged 50 symposiums & conferences in Silicon Valley & at the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC through 2005.  The nanoSIG introduced nanotechnology based projects to entrepreneurs, government officials, investors, & large corporations.

Bo has worked on various due diligence projects & landscape studies for investors & government groups in Canada, Mexico, Spain, Japan, & Russia in areas such as advanced batteries, fuel cells, reconfigurable computing, SiC & GaN wafers & devices, solar PV; solar thermal, super capacitors, & wind power. He has also worked on commercial projects in Canada, China, Finland, Mexico, Japan, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, & the US.

Education: BA and MA History, University of Chicago, all but dissertation for PhD; MBA Accounting, UC Berkeley.
