Prior she joined as Director, New Business Development to establish strategic business development for Sumitomo Electric in Silicon Valley. Her work included projects with Apple & Intel and customer focused marketing activities with all leading utilities, IPPs, and EPCs. She led joint ventures and M&A activities in areas including automotive, optical fiber, communication networking and renewable energy.
Erica’s prior worked for Sanyo, North America Corporation as Business Development Manager for almost six years including establishing Silicon Valley & North America presence in the high technology start up & VC communities. She was responsible for technology scouting for SANYO Japan in consumer electronics, wireless networking, smart grid, solar, batteries, etc. She was a liaison & project manager for joint product development projects between Sanyo Japan & companies in North America in wireless networking, semiconductor, & consumer electronic devices. And she developed the first SANYO Li-Ion battery Micro-Grid demonstration project.
